Getting Started
This guide walks you through creating your ChronoFlow account, connecting your tools, and running your first invoice sync.
Prerequisites
- An active Kimai instance (self-hosted or cloud)
- A Bexio account
- An active ChronoFlow subscription
Step 1: Sign in with Bexio
ChronoFlow uses Bexio as its identity provider. Click Sign in on the homepage and you will be redirected to Bexio’s OAuth consent screen. After granting access, you are returned to ChronoFlow and your Bexio account is linked automatically. You do not need a separate ChronoFlow password - Bexio manages authentication.
Step 2: Add your Kimai credentials
- Go to Profile Icon → Settings and enter:
- Your Kimai base URL (e.g.
https://foobar.kimai.cloud/api) - A Kimai API token (see Connecting Kimai for how to generate one)
- Click Test Kimai Connection and upon success click Save
Step 3: Run your first sync
- Navigate to Invoices in the top navigation.
- Create a new invoice or select an open Bexio invoice from the list.
- Create a new invoice position by clicking Add invoice position.
- Select the entries you want to add to a new bexio invoice position.
- Optionally, apply a filter to narrow down the entries.
- Click Add default position or Add product position (team & enterprise only).
- Supply a description (or let AI generate a summary) and click Create invoice position.
That’s it. The invoice positions appear in Bexio within seconds.
